"I Busy" -Natalie

We've been busy....living life!

In the last month we have:

Gone to the zoo with Maddie, Max, and Keri
Helped Daddy wash cars
Tried to put on lipstick ourselves

I don't know if Natalie will start doing the famous "why" questioning that most toddlers do (and I hope I'm not jinxing myself by mentioning that), but Natalie has her own version of that question that she asks over and over and over. She constantly asks "Wha' doin'?" even if you just told her what you are doing mere seconds ago. It can be annoying sometimes, but most times we find it funny and turn the question back on her.

Natalie has been becoming more independent in the things that she does. Which this saddens me because then I stop and look at her and realize that she is no longer my little baby but a toddler instead. She will forever be my little baby though!

Us 2 and U2

Tuesday evening we were able to go to the amazing U2 concert. We were able to get into the inner circle (between the stage and a walkway for the band) thanks to our friends who got there earlier in the day to save us spots in line. It was such a fun concert and evening! It was great going with our group of friends. So many laughs were had within our group because of the people around us.

Thanks Chris and Alisha for letting us come!

And a big special thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Reading for watching Natalie so we could go!

Not As It Appears

So, you see that green thing in Natalie's left nostril?

Can you guess what it is?

I'll give you a hint...

It's not a booger...

...yep...it's a pea!

Natalie decided after dinner last night to place some of her remaining peas up her nose.
I squished out 3...
Then she sneezed out 2 more...
And then there was this last one that took more effort in getting it out.

Yep, people...that's a total of 6...count them SIX peas shoved up that little girl's nose.

It made me have flashbacks of when I was younger and babysitting and one of the little girls stuck chalkboard chalk up her nose to see if it would fit.

Silly Natalie...peas aren't for noses!

Oh the joys of parenthood!

All Things Easter

Occasionally my sister-in-law and I walk in the mall to get exercise before it opens. We decided to let the kids visit with the Easter Bunny that was there one day. Let's just say that Natalie has a fear of the Easter Bunny, but not quite as bad as the Santa experience.
Last weekend we went down to Grandma and Grandpa Lewis' for some Easter fun (and celebrate a birthday too). Natalie had fun swinging on the swings, riding on the 4-wheeler, coloring bunny ears, and having an Easter egg hunt.

The Easter bunny came and visited Natalie at our house yesterday. Later that evening we had an Easter egg/candy hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Youngberg's house.Happy Easter!

Conference Fun

Over Conference weekend we had to replace our tree in the front yard. It died last summer and needed to be replaced. It was kind of sad because after 5 years it was beginning to be a decent size and shape.

Natalie loved digging in the dirt and helping Daddy.

We bought an Oklahoma Redbud and are excited to see it grow in our yard. I will take pictures of our new tree when it starts blossoming.

Seriously...I Didn't Do It

This morning Natalie and I joined Keri and her kiddos at the Chick-fil-A in Fort Union since they were doing their free breakfast deal this week.

Nothing beats free!
Natalie first started out sitting on the bench next to Maddie to eat their breakfast. She wasn't eating so well and so I put her on my lap to help her eat more before letting her scamper off to play on the playground.

And then it happened...

My lap started to feel warm...

and warmer....

and...argh...Natalie peed on me!

She had soaked through her diaper within an hour and half, through her jeans, and onto me. And of course it had to be right in my lap area to make it look like I had peed my pants (which were a medium color of scrubs so it was VERY obvious!).

Needless to say, Keri and I had a good laugh about it!
