Food Update

Last month was a month of struggles with Natalie in regards to food. At the beginning of January she had a cold and started throwing up. I thought that she was throwing up her rice cereal because of the cough she had. I waited a little over a week after she was over her cold to restart the rice cereal. And up it came a little while later. We would try about once a week to see if she could keep it down. She could not.

I Googled what I thought it was. Eventually I called the on call pediatrician one night after her episode. He said what I thought...that Natalie might be allergic to rice cereal. Natalie doesn't show any typical allergy symptoms, but she will throw up the rice cereal 2 hours after eating it and have diarrhea for the next few days afterwards. We will confirm our thoughts/suspicions with Natalie's pediatrician later this month.

The on call pediatrician said we could start the "yellow" vegetables.
Natalie started sweet potatoes...can you tell???

The first few days were rough, but now she loves her sweet potatoes.

It Sucks!

We now have a devil in our house. And I think that I really like it and that I want our devil to stay around for a long time. Can it be true that a devil can be so good???

Earlier this week as I was vacuuming, our previous vacuum that we have had for almost 5 1/2 years broke. We ended up buying a Dirt Devil yesterday. Let's just say that it really sucks!!! I think I'm shocked and a little ashamed at how horrible our other vacuum was doing. Now I won't feel so bad letting Natalie roll all over the floor.
Our devil sucks and let's keep it that way!

Losin' It

So, I haven't been the best at exercising since Natalie has been born. I have done the Wii Fit a little and went for a few walks here and there.
But according to my Wii Fit I have lost 23 pounds in 4 1/2 months. And it's all thanks to this little girl...
And no, that weight loss isn't from giving birth to her. This is weight lost since the middle of September. It is because of nursing her and playing with her that I have lost the weight.

I am determined to do more once the weather gets nicer and Natalie and I can go for walks. There is still weight to be lost!

Rolly-Polly

On Wednesday night Mike was reading some of his book to Natalie as she desperately was trying to grab the book, and then...voila!...she rolled over from her back to her tummy. Since then she has been doing a lot more of rolling back and forth.

Here she is in action:

I think that I need to either vacuum our bedroom floor more often...or...tape Natalie up with double sided sticky tape and let her help out with some chores around the house. I'm thinking that the later idea is a good one! :)

The Big 3-0!!!

Yesterday was Mike's 30th birthday. We were only able to celebrate a little since he had to work and also go to school. But Natalie sure enjoyed helping him open up his presents.
I am lucky to be married to such a wonderful man and have him be my best friend as well. He is the best husband and father!

Happy Birthday Love!!!

Let the Solids Begin

Natalie got some rice cereal for Christmas since her pediatrician said that she could start on it.

All ready for her new experience

What is that???

Natalie has done well eating her cereal and only made the questionable face the first few days. She actually loves it and will eat all that I prepare for her (and I'm sure that she would eat more if I'd make more).

Christmas Joys

We really enjoyed Christmas and being around family. I personally feel that I got the best present this year and she actually arrived on August 1st. We love our little Natalie! Santa and family was really generous to Natalie this year.
Natalie was so excited that she got rice cereal in her stocking.
Natalie and her spoils

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
