Feelings

There are days that I
Cry tears of sorrow
Have fury of anger
Wonder why with frustration
Feel broken as a woman

All because of one thing...
Infertility

Then there is a little Natalie girl who gives
A huge smile
A bear hug
A big kiss
And a simple "I love you"

This buoys and lifts up my heart
Makes my soul glad
All because....
She calls me Mommy!

New Transition

About two weeks ago, Natalie figured out how to climb out (and also back into) of her crib. Afraid that she would hurt herself by falling, we made the transition to the big girl bed. It was nice having her contained in the crib while we could, but we knew that this day would eventually come.

The first night was HORRIBLE!!! But since then she has done very well and loves her new bed.
Can you see the little girl in that big bed?
Good night! Sweet dreams!

Wheeler Farm fun

One evening last week we went to Wheeler Farm to feed the ducks. I had been saving some of our old bread for a while, so those ducks and geese got a good feeding.
Natalie also saw some pigs there.
It was a fun evening spent together as a family!

Hogle Zoo

Last month we went to the Hogle Zoo for Mike's work party. Natalie had fun, but she was fixated on seeing the "lions" (she really meant the tigers). One of the tigers came right up to the fence while they were standing there looking at them (prior to the first picture taken).
There was a safety fair going on as well and she loved sitting in the fire truck.
During the work party they had face painting. Doesn't Natalie make a beautiful butterfly?
Thanks to CCI for a free fun-filled day at the zoo!

Our Family Vacation

Over Labor Day weekend we went down to Capitol Reef National Park to camp and hike. We left Thursday morning and came back Monday morning. We had so much fun going on lots of hikes and relaxing.
We had a great trail guide/"nag"avator with her GPS to guide us along to the petroglyphs.
We had fun hiking up the Sulphur Creek Route. Natalie REALLY enjoyed it and had a fit when we had to get out to go back for lunch.
I wondered how well Natalie would do sleeping that many nights not in her own bed. She did absolutely wonderful! She even took good naps in the afternoon and slept though the entire night. What was kind of funny was that the last two nights we were there, Natalie was the one asking us to put her in bed before we were even thinking about it!
We had lots of fun and it is evident that Natalie loves camping too!
