Life Lately

There are many times that I forget about our blog.  I'm just so busy living life and playing with my girls.  I love my sweet little girls!!!

Natalie is always such a big help and a great big sister.  She's always eager to help out Emma and it's no surprise that Emma always gives Natalie the most smiles.

Natalie is enjoying going to preschool 3 days a week this year.  Natalie loves Mrs. Angie's preschool and she is learning a lot!  She has lots of friends and even enjoys having play dates with them outside of school!  It's just crazy to think of how fast she seems to be growing up!

Emma just had her 4 month check-up.  She's in the 75% for height (at 25 inches long) and about 60% for weight (at 13.8 lbs).  Emma is a fabulous baby!  She will eat and go to bed around 8:30 at night and sleep until about 5 in the morning.  She will eat again and go back to sleep until 8:30.  Her morning nap is about an hour long.  Then her afternoon nap is about 3 1/2 hours long.  Then she takes another evening nap for about 45 minutes.  Emma is always a happy baby and loves to watch what's going on around her.

California Fun

Back in the end of April we were able to take a family vacation to California.  We stopped in Vegas for a day and then went on to Anaheim.  We had three fun filled days in Disneyland.  Natalie still talks about Disneyland and the rides all the time.

Then we spent a day at Sea World.

And on our last day there we spent some time at the beach.  Natalie really enjoyed spending the week with her new friend Lindsay.

It was a fun vacation for us and we enjoyed it all!

Busy Doings

Life has been busy and filled with day-to-day things.  We were able to enjoy an Easter egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Lewis' and color eggs.

We also were able to have another Easter egg hunt on the Reading side.  And of course Natalie couldn't wait to sit down and start eating her candy.

Like I mentioned we are just busy in our lives.  I don't think that I've mentioned it on our blog, but I've personally been busy since October when I was put in as the Young Women President in our ward.  It has been a fun, busy, and learning experience.  It is so much different being a leader now as opposed to a young woman going through the program.  So, between Young Womens, playing with Natalie and this pregnancy we've been kept busy living our lives.

Flavor

I have been meaning to post for quite some time about the flavor of our baby.  We found out on February 12th that the flavor of our baby is...pink!  Poor Mike will continue to be outnumbered in this household!  Natalie is very excited though!

Natalie is very determined that we will be naming the baby "Sister" and she won't back down on it.  I'm sure that she will be called that, but that's not what her name on the birth certificate will be.  Natalie has been so cute and curious about the baby.  She keeps asking if she can share her toys and the clothes that she has grown out of with the baby when she's born.  The great thing about having another girl is that we've already got all the clothes (and the correct seasons too since Natalie was born in the summer too).

Something is Wrong

Last Sunday we set up our Christmas tree as a family.  Then on Tuesday evening we added another ornament on the tree for Natalie.  As we sat and admired the tree, the following conversation occurred:

Me:  Isn't the tree beautiful?
Natalie:  Yes.  It is beautiful.
(We sit in silence for a bit.)
Natalie:  Uh-oh.  Something is wrong!
Me:  What is wrong with the tree?
Natalie:  There's no presents under it!
Me: (laughing) There will be later if you are good.

Somebody is a little excited for Christmas if you couldn't tell.

Last week we were able to frolic in the fall leaves before the snow fell.

Halloween Time

This Halloween season was full of lots of fun parties and dressing up.

Natalie was Tinkerbell ths year for Halloween.

We partied with all the Lewis'.

We partied with all the Readings.

And we had fun carving pumpkins as a family.

Wheeler Farm

On Friday Natalie had her first preschool field trip.  They went to Wheeler Farm and walked around and looked at the animals.  Natalie is loving Ms. Desirae's class!

Natalie became fast friends with another girl who is in the 4 year old class.

She loved it so much she made me walk around another time to look at the animals with her after everyone in her class had left.

Hi-ho, Hi-ho it's off to school you go!

The great and anticipated day finally arrived for Natalie...her first day of preschool!

She loved it and had lots of fun!

And no, the mother did not cry!

(Although it was anticipated that it would be so.)

This year we chose to spend our tax return on buying a swingset for Natalie.  She has loved it and we have been playing on it all summer.

On some hot days we have put her swimming pool at the bottom of the slide and had a sprinkler up at the top of the slide.  That adds some fun and excitement!
